Explore neck pain care ↗Sciatica
Radiating buttock or leg symptoms deserve a careful assessment. We discuss their pattern and what might be contributing.
Explore sciatica care ↗Herniated or bulging disc
Bring the images and report behind your diagnosis. A disc finding needs to be considered alongside your symptoms and examination.
Explore herniated disc care ↗Spinal stenosis
Narrowing around spinal nerves can be part of a spine diagnosis. Discuss its relevance to your symptoms and daily function.
Explore spinal stenosis care ↗Degenerative changes
Understand the terms in your report and which findings may matter to your care, rather than choosing treatment from a label alone.
Some symptoms need prompt care: Seek urgent medical attention for new bladder or bowel control problems or new or rapidly worsening weakness. Do not wait for an online appointment response.
Connect the Symptoms, Examination & Imaging.
Your visit begins with a discussion of where the symptoms occur, when they began, and what improves or worsens them. Bring details of prior treatment, surgery, and your current medications.
- Your history: symptoms, health conditions and the activities you want to regain.
- Your examination: relevant movement, strength, sensation and other clinical findings.
- Your imaging: available reports and images, with further testing only when appropriate.
- Your options: a discussion of next steps, expectations, alternatives and follow-up.
Options That Fit the Individual.
Recommendations depend on the cause of symptoms, clinical findings, health history and your goals.
Non-surgical spinal decompression
Discuss whether spinal decompression may be appropriate for your condition. The conversation should cover candidacy, limitations, potential risks and alternatives.
Rehabilitation & movement
A plan may include guidance on activity and rehabilitation. Discuss how movement can be adapted to your symptoms and clinical needs.
Pain-management care
Explore whether symptom-management services have a role in your plan and how progress will be reassessed.
Specialist or surgical consultation
Some findings require another specialist’s assessment. Non-surgical care includes recognizing when referral is the appropriate next step.
We do not promise to reverse every imaging finding or guarantee avoidance of surgery. The aim is a thoughtful care decision with realistic expectations.

Explore care.
Know what to expect.
Understanding your spine is a useful starting point for discussing care. During your evaluation, review your symptoms and imaging with the team, explore treatment options, and ask what a recommended plan would involve.
Discuss your spine care ↗Bring Your Spine MRI.
Bring available MRI images and the written radiology report, along with prior treatment records. We can discuss the findings in the context of your symptoms and examination.
Request a Spine Evaluation ↗Ask at your evaluation
- Which findings relate to my symptoms?
- Is more testing needed?
- What are the reasonable treatment choices?
- How will we assess progress?
Common Spine Care Questions
Does an abnormal MRI automatically mean surgery?
No. Treatment decisions involve more than an imaging report. Symptoms, examination findings, medical history and response to prior care all help determine the next step.
Is spinal decompression right for everyone?
No. An evaluation is needed to discuss suitability, possible risks, limitations and other choices. A diagnosis alone does not establish candidacy.
Do I need an MRI before my appointment?
You can contact our team without one. Bring existing images and reports; whether additional testing is needed depends on the evaluation.
How many visits will I need?
There is no universal schedule. The recommended plan and reassessment points depend on your condition, goals and response to care.
What if I have already tried treatment?
Bring a list of the services you tried, how long you tried them, and what changed. That history helps make the next discussion more useful.
What should I ask about costs?
Ask for the recommended services, expected costs and insurance considerations before starting. Coverage varies by service and plan.

What should I bring to my first visit?
Bring your identification, a medication list, available imaging and reports, and details of previous treatments. Share how symptoms affect your activities and what you would like to improve.
How do you choose between decompression and other spine care options?
The discussion starts with your symptoms, examination, imaging when available and response to previous care. Ask what each proposed treatment is intended to address, why it is appropriate for you and when the plan will be reassessed.
Can I work or exercise during a spine care plan?
Your activity plan depends on the cause and severity of your symptoms and the treatment selected. Describe your job, exercise routine and daily demands at the evaluation so the clinician can give you specific guidance on activity and any restrictions.
What changes should I track during spine care?
Track pain and practical activities such as sitting comfortably, walking, sleeping and turning your head. Note any changes in arm or leg symptoms and discuss them at follow-up. New or rapidly worsening weakness needs prompt medical assessment.
